Your recordbook
What’s included in the free Daily log?
Litter box, vomiting or hairballs, appetite and water entries, each with a time and note. Every entry is kept, shown 30 days at a time, with PDF and CSV export. Entries record your observations without scores or medical interpretation.
Have a dog and a cat?
Paws & Days is for dogs and Purrs & Days is for cats; separate apps with separate recordbooks on your iPhone. Each app has its own plans, so a purchase in one doesn’t unlock the other.
How do I make a backup?
In the app, open Settings → Create backup. Save the package using Files. Keep a copy somewhere other than this iPhone, such as your own iCloud Drive. Export again after important changes.
How do I restore my records?
Choose Restore an existing backup during setup, or Settings → Restore from Files. Select your Purrs & Days backup, review its contents, and confirm. Restore replaces the active recordbook; the previous local copy is available under Recover previous recordbook. Restoring purchases does not restore cat records.
Why do imported photos look different from my originals?
Journal imports are resized to a maximum 2,048-pixel edge and converted to JPEG without source metadata. The app keeps an unfiltered imported copy for changing photo looks. Keep your full-resolution originals in your photo library.
How do I show or hide Kittens?
Open Settings and switch Show Kittens tab on or off, or choose I breed cats during setup. This changes your navigation only and does not start or cancel a subscription. Existing litter and kitten journals stay available.
I use Paws & Days too. Does my plan carry over?
No. Purrs & Days and Paws & Days are separate apps, each with its own plans on the App Store and its own recordbook. Restore purchases in Purrs & Days finds what you bought in Purrs & Days.
Where do I manage or restore a subscription?
Use Restore purchases or Manage subscription in the app’s Settings. Apple handles billing. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase. Existing cat records and backups remain available when a subscription ends.
Why am I not getting reminders?
Check the app’s Reminders section and your iPhone notification settings. Confirm that the appointment or care follow-up has a future date. Open the app to refresh upcoming notifications.
